The first competition season is a major challenge for any young horse – new surroundings, pressure, unfamiliar horses, and unexpected stimuli. All of this can significantly increase stress levels and hinder concentration, which affects not only performance but also the horse's emotional well-being.
In this post, we share the story of Choco White Z, a young Zangersheide gelding who gained confidence in the ring thanks to proper preparation and support from Hempqualizer Compete.
The case study is written by Tomasz Godek, experienced show jumper and trainer from the Ferenstein Stud, who shares his observations from the first uses of Hempqualizer Compete during training and competition.
Choco White Z is a nearly 5-year-old Zangersheide gelding. He started competing at the end of last season. Due to lack of experience, he was still unsure in the ring. After using Hempqualizer Compete, the horse became noticeably more relaxed and focused. He moved confidently between jumps and performed technically better.
I first used the product during training at home to check how my horses would react – making sure the supplement didn’t slow them down or impair their movement, reactions or thinking. Then I used it again during the first open show of the season – and the positive effect was even more noticeable.
Working with young horses is a long and patient process that requires repetition. Thanks to Hempqualizer Compete, that process can be much less stressful and more effective. The paste is easy to administer and well accepted by horses.
