Fontenblue is a 15-year-old Wielkopolski gelding with an impressive stature of 170 cm at the withers and weighing around 650 kg. For the past five years, he has lived in a free-range system, enjoying freedom and space. Despite his strength and vitality, Fontenblue has been struggling with seasonal coughing since he was about ten years old, which worsened in the spring and during movement.
Although this cough did not significantly affect his respiratory efficiency and did not lead to shortness of breath, it was clearly bothersome for him. An endoscopy revealed a large amount of sticky secretion in his trachea, which he had difficulty clearing on his own. In response to this problem, various treatment methods were tried over the years—from inhaled steroids to herbal oils, which only provided temporary relief.
Faced with a lack of long-term improvement, Fontenblue's owner decided to try Hempqualizer+. Below is the story written by the owner along with the results of the decision.
Fontenblue, now 15 years old, is a gelding standing 170 cm at the withers, weighing around 650 kg, and has been living free-range for 5 years.
HISTORY: Around the age of 10, he began coughing in the spring. Over time, it worsened. The horse coughed mainly during movement. He was always fit, breathed well, and did not experience shortness of breath, just this terrible cough... Endoscopy showed a large amount of secretion in his trachea. The secretion in his case was very sticky, and he could not clear it on his own.
PREVIOUS TREATMENT METHODS: Over the years, the following were tried: tracheal steroids—no help, herbal oil inhalations—no help, inhalations with saline solution and inhaled steroids—only temporary relief, and we had a big problem with administering inhaled medications because the cough worsened during inhalation, and the horse became very agitated having a mask on his nostrils while coughing. General steroids are to be avoided if possible.
EFFECTS OF USING HEMPQUALIZER+: This year, based on good reviews, I decided to try Hempqualizer+.
The horse received 2 ml of Hempqualizer+ for 3 weeks. In the first week, I also supported him with a syrup to thin the secretion because he was coughing and choking very hard during movement.
From the second week of administration, the situation gradually improved, the secretion became watery, and the horse could clear it on his own.
Starting from the fourth week, he received 1 ml of Hempqualizer+ and maintained the effect of a few light coughs during warm-up, the horse snorts, and then it's quiet. The secretion flows out nicely on its own. At this point, I don't need to administer anything else. The horse is full of energy and breathes well. For now, we will continue with Hempqualizer+ at a dose of 1 ml.
